Job Summary
Leading the Foundations group, the remote Director of Engineering will manage the Platform, DevOps, and Data Engineering teams, ensuring technical strategy, reliability, and security while overseeing complex initiatives and driving engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the health, technical direction, and output of the Foundations group, including shared services and infrastructure
- Maintain end-to-end accountability for multi-team initiatives, ensuring successful deployment and operational health
- Drive architectural direction and champion engineering standards, promoting continuous improvement across the teams
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Proven track record of leading multiple teams in production and driving technical strategy for complex initiatives
- Strong systems-design background across backend infrastructure, platform reliability, and data architecture
- Hands-on familiarity with TypeScript/Node.js, Google Cloud Platform, and enterprise data warehousing
- Active use of AI tools in engineering workflows with a clear strategy for responsible adoption
