Job Summary
To lead and scale the engineering organization, the full-time remote Director of Engineering will mentor engineering managers, ensure effective execution of projects, and provide technical leadership on architecture and production issues.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow engineering managers across multiple teams
- Own engineering execution, including planning, delivery predictability, and cross-team coordination
- Define and track engineering effectiveness metrics to improve team performance and delivery
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including significant hands-on work
- 4+ years of engineering management experience, including managing managers
- Experience leading multiple engineering teams in a fast-growing organization
- Strong background in backend and API services, third-party system integrations, and automation
- Experience building or leading teams that develop AI-powered products and automation
