Job Summary
Seeking a high-impact Director of Engineering, AI, this full-time remote role will manage a team of approximately twenty engineers, drive performance management, and engage directly in client delivery while shaping operational frameworks for the AI Practice.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and empower a dedicated team of engineers, focusing on performance management and professional growth
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, and enablement processes to build a high-functioning engineering organization
- Engage in billable client work, providing technical leadership on AI initiatives and guiding clients in adopting modern AI tooling
Required qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive engineering experience with significant leadership in full engineering organizations
- Proven experience managing engineering leaders and scaling teams effectively
- Strong technical expertise in platform, pipeline, and infrastructure architecture
- Hands-on experience deploying production AI/ML systems, particularly in platform architecture and operational resilience
- Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or the ability to rapidly master GCP-centric delivery stacks
