Director of Engineering - Care

Job Summary

Leading the engineering strategy and delivery for the clinician and patient experience, the full-time remote Director of Engineering - Care will oversee the development of clinical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards while driving innovation and team performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own technical vision, architecture, and delivery for Care, including clinician workflows and support tooling
• Define and deliver the engineering roadmap in collaboration with product and design, focusing on innovation and reliability
• Build and mentor engineering managers and technical leaders, ensuring effective staffing and organizational strategy

Required qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years managing multiple teams in high-growth environments
• Experience with clinical systems handling regulated health data, including knowledge of HIPAA compliance
• Strong grounding in modern service architectures such as Spring Boot and PostgreSQL
• Proven ability to define and execute technical roadmaps aligned with product vision and business outcomes
• Demonstrated capability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing engineering talent
