Director of Financial Planning

Job Summary

Leading the financial planning and analysis function remotely, the full-time salaried Director of Financial Planning will drive strategic initiatives, oversee planning and forecasting processes, and enhance operational efficiency through data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual planning process, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial modeling aligned with company strategy
• Build and develop a high-performing FP&A team, establishing clear performance standards and operating rhythms
• Own reporting processes, including variance analyses and KPI tracking, while driving budget management and cost control

Required qualifications

• 10-15+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, finance, or related roles, preferably in growth environments like SaaS or EdTech
• Progressive leadership experience with a track record of building high-performing teams
• Expertise in financial modeling, planning, and performance management
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems/BI tools (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders
