Director of Financial Systems Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a team of individual contributors, the full-time Director of Financial Systems Engineering will manage the reconciliation system, invoicing logic, and financial data models to ensure traceability and accuracy in financial reporting, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the reconciliation system across contracts, invoicing, claims, and servicing reimbursements, building automated tie-outs for quick variance detection
• Oversee invoicing logic and programmatic controls to accurately reflect commercial terms
• Manage financial data models in a shared dbt repository, ensuring integrity and compliance through rigorous testing and change control

Required qualifications

• Advanced SQL skills and experience with dimensional data modeling in a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake
• Proven experience in analytics engineering, particularly with financial or analytical models in dbt or similar tools
• Expertise in designing order-to-cash systems and automated reconciliation controls at scale
• Deep understanding of revenue recognition principles, especially for multi-year service contracts
• Functional knowledge of NetSuite in billing, invoicing, and revenue management
