Director of General Medicine Strategy
Job Summary
Leading the strategic direction for Amgen's General Medicine portfolio, the full-time remote Director of General Medicine Strategy will integrate scientific, clinical, and commercial insights to inform therapeutic area strategies and guide early pipeline projects from discovery through development.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and evolve the General Medicine therapeutic area strategy in collaboration with cross-functional leaders
- Serve as the Commercial strategic lead for early pipeline projects, assessing market opportunities and guiding product development strategies
- Drive cross-functional strategic decision-making by integrating diverse insights and facilitating alignment across various teams
Required qualifications
- Doctorate degree with 4 years of marketing/commercial experience, or Master's degree with 7 years, or Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry or life sciences strategy consulting
- Proven ability in New Product Planning and pipeline commercial strategy
- Familiarity with evaluating early-stage assets and understanding market dynamics in General Medicine
- Strong strategic judgment and ability to lead through influence across cross-functional teams
