Director of Governance Risk Compliance
Job Summary
Leading the governance, risk, and compliance function, the full-time remote Director of Governance Risk Compliance will set the company-wide strategy, manage compliance frameworks, and serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership while building a high-performing GRC team.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the multi-year GRC strategy, operating model, and roadmap
- Build and lead a high-performing GRC organization, establishing roles and accountability
- Maintain executive accountability for compliance and certification strategies, including SOC 2 and ISO frameworks
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in GRC, security risk, compliance, or related fields
- Proven experience building and scaling GRC programs in high-growth technology environments
- Executive ownership experience of SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications
- Deep understanding of management systems and control frameworks in cloud-first environments
- Strong executive communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership and boards
