Director of Information Security

Job Summary

To ensure security design thinking is integrated into every major technology decision, the full-time remote Director of Information Security will manage the security program roadmap, oversee security architecture, and drive cross-functional coordination while maintaining compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Own the security program roadmap, monitor progress, and escalate issues to the CISO with actionable recommendations
• Serve as the embedded security architect, ensuring security design principles are applied in technology decisions
• Coordinate security engagement across modernization programs and manage compliance with regulatory deadlines

Required qualifications

• Seven or more years in technology leadership, security program management, or security architecture
• Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs with a small team
• Familiarity with security program governance, vendor management, and budget operations
• Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
