Director of Instruction and Learner Experience

Job Summary

To lead the academic experience at Meritus College, the full-time remote Director of Instruction and Learner Experience will manage curriculum design, instructional quality, and learner support services, ensuring alignment with labor market outcomes and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and development of academic programs, ensuring alignment with educational philosophy and labor market needs
• Define and uphold standards for instructional quality, including course facilitation and feedback processes, while managing faculty performance
• Lead the learner support function, establishing standards for academic advising, tutoring, and accessibility services to enhance student persistence and success

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in higher education administration or related field preferred
• 8+ years of experience in higher education with a focus on building or leading academic programs
• Experience in a start-up environment, particularly in launching new programs or scaling organizations
• Strong background in assessment and data analysis related to learning outcomes and curricular changes
• Proven ability to manage and develop mid-to-senior level staff in an academic setting
