Director of IT Operations
Job Summary
Owning the modernization of cloud infrastructure and internal IT operations, the fully remote Director of IT Operations will manage production infrastructure for a platform serving over 20 million monthly visitors while overseeing corporate IT and vendor management.
Key responsibilities
- Manage cloud infrastructure and architecture (AWS), SRE, and production operations
- Ensure reliability at scale through SLOs, observability, incident command, and disaster recovery
- Oversee corporate IT, helpdesk, employee technology, and vendor management
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or IT operations
- 5+ years of experience leading teams, including managers or technical leads
- Proven ownership of high-traffic, customer-facing platforms in AWS or equivalent
- Ability to span both production engineering and employee-facing IT roles
- Strong technical judgment with the capability to make architectural decisions
