Director of Legal and Contracts
Job Summary
Serving as the senior legal advisor, the full-time remote Director of Legal and Contracts will manage contract review and negotiation, provide legal counsel on commercial and employment matters, and oversee risk management while collaborating with the executive team.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts including customer agreements and construction-related documents
- Act as the primary legal advisor to the Senior Leadership team on business decisions and emerging risks
- Partner with HR on employment law matters and manage disputes and compliance issues
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 8+ years of legal experience, including a minimum of 3 years in-house
- Substantial experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment law and experience advising HR
