Director of Legal Software Engineering
Job Summary
Leading the Legal Engineering delivery pillar, the full-time Director of Legal Software Engineering will manage an engineering team responsible for developing and operating technology solutions for the Legal department, including contract lifecycle management and AI workflows, while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering delivery and ensure technical health and quality across the legal technology portfolio
- Provide technical leadership for contract lifecycle management and ensure compliance with security and data governance standards
- Engage with stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable engineering solutions and communicate program status to senior management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
- 12+ years of software engineering experience with 7+ years in engineering management or senior technical leadership
- 5+ years of experience leading machine learning and automation solutions
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with AI, including building or leading agentic workflows
- Demonstrated experience in delivering legal technology solutions within a large enterprise environment
