Director of Major Gifts

Job Summary

Expanding philanthropic support, the full-time salaried Director of Major Gifts will build and manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects while cultivating new relationships and delivering measurable fundraising results, based out of the Farmington, Connecticut campus with a hybrid remote work arrangement and 10-20% travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and achieve annual fundraising and pipeline-development goals while cultivating and soliciting high-capacity donors
• Identify and develop new major gift prospects through proactive relationship management and strategic networking
• Build trusted relationships with donors, advisors, and stakeholders, effectively representing the organization within various networks

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in major gifts, philanthropy, or a related field
• Proven success in developing relationships and securing significant philanthropic investments
• Established connections within the philanthropic, business, healthcare, or life sciences sectors preferred
• Knowledge of biomedical research or healthcare preferred
