Job Summary
To support the organization's mission, the full-time remote Director of Medical Economics will independently lead complex analyses using claims, clinical, and payor data to demonstrate the value of the care model, while generating actionable recommendations for clinical and executive leaders.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain analytics to measure performance across value-based contracts, including total cost of care and utilization
- Lead the generation of clinical and economic evidence to demonstrate the impact of the care model through health outcomes and program evaluations
- Independently scope, design, and execute analyses to identify drivers of medical expenses and quantify savings opportunities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Statistics, or Data Science; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in medical economics, healthcare analytics, or related fields
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills, with experience querying large healthcare datasets
- Strong understanding of healthcare claims data and medical economics concepts
- Demonstrated ability to independently frame business questions and deliver actionable recommendations
