Director of Medical Review
Job Summary
Leading the Medical Affairs efforts for a relevant therapeutic portfolio, the full-time Director of Medical Review will oversee the Medical and Promotional Review processes, ensuring scientific accuracy and compliance for promotional materials while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary leader within Promotional Review Committee (PRC) and Medical Review Committee (MRC) processes, providing strategic scientific guidance
- Establish review standards and oversee the medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure compliance and scientific rigor
- Drive initiatives to optimize review processes and enhance operational effectiveness through digital and AI-enabled solutions
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree (PharmD, MD, PhD, or equivalent in life sciences)
- 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare industry, with significant involvement in promotional and medical review
- Strong knowledge of FDA advertising and promotion regulations and clinical development
- Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate clinical trial data and promotional claims
- Proven leadership skills and experience in influencing cross-functional stakeholders
