Director of Operations
Job Summary
Leading a highly automated distribution center, the remote Director of Operations will manage end-to-end fulfillment processes, oversee inventory and logistics, and drive operational improvements while developing a strong management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-shift operations including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping to meet daily order commitments
- Oversee fulfillment for various clients, establishing capacity and contingency plans for peak periods
- Drive the operational use of automation and robotics, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in distribution, fulfillment, or supply chain, with at least 7 years in management roles
- Proven experience managing operating budgets and high-volume WMS-enabled operations
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI/reporting tools
- Experience managing parcel and freight operations and maintaining carrier relationships
- Availability to work nonstandard hours and ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
