Director of Payor Contracting

Job Summary

Leading managed care negotiations and relationship maintenance, the full-time Director of Payor Contracting will serve as the primary liaison with payors, addressing issues beyond contracting and driving innovative business relationships in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess macro trends and market nuances to identify opportunities and craft compelling pitches for reimbursement and population health incentives
• Negotiate with managed care and intermediary relationships to achieve goals for rates, efficiency, and value-based care
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor market trends and develop solutions for underperforming program contracts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or business administration; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in contracting, negotiations, and health plan portfolio management in specialty medicine or healthcare
• Deep understanding of the healthcare field and the dynamics between payers and providers
• Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments; private equity or startup experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
