Director of Planning

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Director of Planning, this full-time remote position will manage demand forecasting, inventory allocation, and supply planning across multiple sales channels, while building automated systems to enhance planning processes and leading a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the consolidated rolling 12-month demand forecast across all sales channels, driving forecast accuracy and methodology
• Lead the monthly S&OP process, fostering collaboration among cross-functional teams to surface risks and align on decisions
• Prioritize and allocate constrained inventory across channels, defending allocation decisions with data-driven insights

Required qualifications

• 8+ years in demand, inventory, merchandise, or supply chain planning, with 2-3 years in a leadership role
• Multichannel experience in DTC e-commerce, Amazon/marketplaces, wholesale, or physical retail
• Experience in fashion, jewelry, or accessories preferred; otherwise, consumer goods with high SKU counts
• Engineering degree or equivalent quantitative field; proficiency in advanced modeling, SQL, and BI tools
• Proven ability to build planning processes from the ground up, operating effectively without existing infrastructure
