Director of Platform Engineering
Job Summary
To lead the strategy and delivery of enterprise platform capabilities, the full-time salaried Director of Platform Engineering will manage a high-performing team, establish engineering standards, and drive modernization efforts across on-premises, hybrid cloud, and container environments.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise platform engineering strategy, including architecture standards and modernization roadmap
- Build and develop the Platform Engineering function, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Deliver reusable platform services and automate infrastructure processes to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise modernization, including automation and hybrid cloud/container platforms
- Proficiency with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience in establishing engineering standards and technical direction for cloud and container platforms
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and operational health requirements in platform engineering
