Director of Policy

Job Summary

Driving federal policy initiatives, the full-time remote Director of Policy will manage regulatory engagement, develop legislative content, and advance a federal regulatory agenda to expand access to charter school funding and support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the organization's regulatory engagement process, tracking and analyzing proposals impacting charter schools
• Develop and present content related to the legislative and regulatory agenda for stakeholder meetings and conferences
• Build and maintain relationships with key policy partners and Administration officials to promote alignment on policy priorities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred
• At least six years of relevant work experience in policy or advocacy
• Familiarity with federal education policy and regulatory processes
• Strong writing skills and experience in developing policy analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience managing databases
