Job Summary
To support a growing business development ecosystem, the remote Director of Pre-Award Contracts will provide strategic and operational leadership in overseeing the pre-award contracting process, including identifying opportunities, executing agreements, and ensuring compliance with regulations while leading a team of specialists.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of enterprise-wide strategies for pre-award contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
- Oversee the solicitation, negotiation, and evaluation of new awards across various funding sources while ensuring compliance with regulations
- Drive process improvements and operational excellence to enhance efficiency and service delivery across contracting functions
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's or JD preferred)
- 12+ years of experience in contracts, grants management, or procurement, including 5+ years in a management role
- Deep knowledge of federal and state contracting and grants regulations (e.g., FAR, Uniform Guidance)
- Experience negotiating various contract types, including teaming agreements and federal assistance agreements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and enterprise systems related to contracts and procurement
