Director of Procurement

Job Summary

To support the Clinical Operations team, the remote Director of Procurement will manage sourcing strategies, contracting, and governance activities for clinical service providers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services for global clinical studies.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a lead procurement business partner, providing strategic sourcing and commercial guidance throughout the clinical study lifecycle
• Develop and execute category and supplier strategies, balancing quality, compliance, service continuity, and cost
• Lead competitive sourcing activities across various clinical service vendors, ensuring alignment with study requirements and timelines

Required qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS degree; relevant graduate degree preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in Procurement/Vendor Management or Finance within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Strong understanding of the drug development R&D process and clinical trial execution
• In-depth knowledge of GCP, ICH, and regulatory expectations for outsourced clinical activities
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with procurement or contract management systems
