Director of Product

Job Summary

To manage product responsibilities across a diverse portfolio, the full-time remote Director of Product will own product cohesion, build product discovery practices, and coach engineers in product judgment while collaborating closely with the engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Own product cohesion across the portfolio, ensuring alignment and clarity among Dagster, Prefect, and FastMCP
• Build and standardize product discovery practices, facilitating user conversations and coaching engineers in effective problem validation
• Design and implement systems to measure the success of product launches, ensuring honest post-launch validation and feedback integration

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience at a leadership level, with a proven track record of owning multi-team roadmaps and driving prioritization decisions
• Experience in start-ups and engineering-led organizations, with the ability to influence product direction without direct authority
• Strong background in synthesizing across multi-product portfolios, platform/product tension, or post-acquisition integration
• Deep familiarity with the modern data stack, orchestration, or developer tools, with bonus points for hands-on experience with agentic systems or MCP
• Demonstrated ability to enhance the product skills of team members
