Job Summary

Owning the product strategy for Clasp Student Finance, the full-time Director of Product will manage cross-functional teams to enhance onboarding processes, prioritize product development, and represent the company's vision to educational partners, all while working remotely with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for Clasp Student Finance, co-leading execution with the Director of Engineering
• Develop a streamlined onboarding process for universities, ensuring efficient integration without custom builds
• Collaborate with Compliance to ensure product decisions align with regulatory requirements and represent the product vision at higher education finance conferences

Required qualifications

• 7+ years in product management with hands-on experience across strategic and operational levels
• Proven experience managing direct reports and building product management teams
• Understanding of student loan mechanics, including financial aid packaging and loan disbursement processes
• Experience collaborating with Compliance to balance product innovation with risk management
• Strong commercial judgment and the ability to advocate for product decisions based on research and data
