Job Summary

Leading the design vision for Ancestry's core product experiences, the full-time Director of Product Design will manage a team to enhance user engagement across various platforms, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design execution for the Research team, ensuring a cohesive customer journey
• Collaborate with product areas to enhance user experience and eliminate friction points
• Translate research insights into actionable design strategies and guide the creation of key design artifacts

Required qualifications

• Extensive experience in UX or product design with a proven track record in collaborative environments
• Strong understanding of end-to-end customer journey mapping and experience design
• Experience leading teams focused on user engagement and lifecycle design
• Background in human-centered design principles
• Ability to communicate effectively and align stakeholders around a shared vision
