Director of Product Documentation

Job Summary

Leading a team of documentation professionals, the full-time remote Director of Product Documentation will develop and execute a comprehensive documentation strategy for customer-facing product materials across a software portfolio, ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with product releases.

Key responsibilities:

• Define and manage the enterprise product-documentation strategy, standards, and operating model
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical writers, establishing clear roles and performance expectations
• Oversee the quality and delivery of various documentation types, including user guides, release notes, and integration documentation

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in technical writing or product documentation, with 5+ years in a leadership role
• Significant experience documenting enterprise B2B SaaS products and managing documentation through the product release lifecycle
• Strong understanding of information architecture, content governance, and structured content practices
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear customer-facing documentation
