Director of Project Controls

Job Summary

Managing all cost management activities for complex mechanical and electrical projects, the full-time Director of Project Controls will collaborate with senior project managers and clients to develop strategic cost plans and oversee project budgets in a fully remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and deliver the cost management program for large-scale capital projects, including tools and procedures
• Lead MEP estimating functions from preconstruction through project close-out, ensuring accurate budgeting and cost analysis
• Provide detailed analysis on cost risks and issues, supporting project managers and clients with tailored communications and presentations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
• 15 or more years of experience in cost management for capital projects, including design and construction phases
• Experience in electrical and mechanical estimating, with the ability to interpret complex drawings and prepare quantity take-offs
• Direct experience in a complex, matrixed environment
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data centers and life sciences preferred
