Director of Project Controls

Job Summary

Building and managing a comprehensive controls process, the remote Director of Project Controls will establish standards and tools for cost, schedule, change management, and risk on construction projects while leading a team of onsite control managers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a construction controls framework, including work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost coding
• Design and oversee the end-to-end change management process, ensuring effective budget and forecast integration
• Lead budgeting, cost forecasting, and monthly reporting, providing an executive dashboard for leadership visibility

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of project controls experience on large capital construction projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in building a controls function or system from the ground up
• Owner-side or owner's-rep experience on data center, mission-critical, power, or heavy industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of WBS, cost coding, scheduling, change management, risk management, and forecasting
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, finance, or a related field
