Director of Risk Management

Job Summary

Leading the development of a comprehensive risk management framework, the full-time remote Director of Risk Management will design risk policies, conduct risk modelling, and oversee counterparty and credit risk management for a BTC capital markets business.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own the risk framework, including risk appetite and exposure limits, and report to the board and investment committee
• Build models and analytics to measure various risks, conduct stress testing, and monitor positions and exposures daily
• Lead due diligence on counterparties and protocols, setting and monitoring credit limits and collateral eligibility

Required Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Mathematical Finance, with a professional qualification in finance or risk (CFA, FRM, PRM or equivalent)
• 10+ years of experience in risk management within asset management, funds, banks, or digital asset businesses, including leadership experience
• Deep understanding of capital, asset, and risk management across BTC, digital assets, and traditional finance
• Strong financial modelling and risk analysis skills, with hands-on experience in Python, R, or SQL
• Experience in designing operational risk controls and negotiating risk terms in fund and OTC documents
