Director of Security Operations

Job Summary

Leading security operations and engineering teams, the full-time Director of Security Operations will manage the protection of the organization's information systems and technology environment while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily management and performance of security operations and engineering teams, establishing priorities and performance expectations
• Direct cybersecurity monitoring, incident response processes, and the analysis of security logs to identify threats and unauthorized access
• Develop departmental plans and resource allocations that align with broader information security objectives and present findings to senior leadership

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in information technology security operations, engineering, or related disciplines
• 6 to 8 years of management experience leading multiple teams of security professionals
• Strong knowledge of security technologies and practices, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls
• Project management experience with the ability to organize and deliver assignments through direct and indirect reports
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
