Director of Security Operations

Job Summary

To support a growing security operations team, the full-time Director of Security Operations will set technical direction, manage incident response, and oversee security assessments for mergers and acquisitions while reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security due diligence and integration assessments for M&A activities, creating a repeatable integration playbook
• Manage the penetration test cycle, including scoping, triage, and remediation tracking, while overseeing SOC synchronization across regions
• Act as incident response manager for technical incidents, maintaining response playbooks and recommending control improvements post-incident

Required qualifications

• 6 to 9 years of security engineering experience with expertise in cloud security, network security, and detection engineering, particularly in Azure and Microsoft Sentinel
• Proven experience leading incident response for technical incidents and assessing security for acquisitions
• Familiarity with modern identity and authentication methods, including passkeys and privileged access management
• Experience in hiring, managing, and developing security engineering teams
• Ability to write clear risk narratives and present findings to leadership
