Job Summary
Leading a high-caliber Site Reliability Engineering organization, the full-time Director of Site Reliability Engineering will oversee the SRE team focused on scaling Okta's production fleet while collaborating with global engineering and product leaders to deliver resilient and secure services.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead the SRE organization, ensuring support for Okta's production fleet
- Define and execute the SRE strategy in alignment with global reliability goals, including incident management and root-cause analysis
- Implement automation and modern infrastructure practices to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual toil
Required qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in site reliability, infrastructure, or production engineering roles
- 8+ years of experience in technical leadership and managing managers within a global environment
- 4+ years of experience running an SRE organization supporting a SaaS/Cloud service, preferably in AWS
- Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, containerization (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Computer Science Degree or related degree, or equivalent experience
