Job Summary
Leading a dynamic software development team, the full-time remote Director of Software Development will oversee the evolution of legacy applications into modern solutions while ensuring high-quality results and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of managers responsible for software development, focusing on execution and results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners and Agile Delivery leaders, to ensure software meets customer needs
- Establish and deliver KPIs and metrics for performance management and communicate progress to stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of IT Management experience, including direct leadership of software development teams
- Proficiency in modern technologies, architectures, and agile development methods
- Experience with cloud-first development and microservice architectures
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps, and experience in managing agile methodologies
