Job Summary
Leading a dynamic team, the full-time Director of Software Engineering will provide senior technical and organizational leadership for SANS' Cloud Platform Engineering organization, focusing on modernization programs, engineering standards, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and mentor engineering teams while owning engineering standards and best practices
- Direct strategic modernization programs, ensuring effective architecture, delivery planning, and stakeholder communication
- Measure engineering effectiveness and drive continuous improvement across teams
Required qualifications
- BS or MS in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent industry experience
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading engineering teams
- Demonstrated success in leading large modernization or systems-integration programs
- Strong technical acumen with hands-on development experience and architectural guidance capabilities
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, including AWS and CI/CD pipelines
