Director of Software Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a critical modernization initiative, the full-time remote Director of Software Engineering will manage the development of a cloud-native equity platform while ensuring the stability of existing applications, driving cross-functional collaboration, and overseeing multiple teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall delivery accountability for the modernization initiative, defining plans and driving execution
• Manage end-to-end delivery of broker integration programs and the core Certent Equity Management platform for over 1,200 customers
• Lead and develop 4-6 teams, ensuring high accountability and effective collaboration across engineering, product management, and UX

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise SaaS environments, including 5+ years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of driving large, cross-functional programs to completion while managing accountability across teams
• Technical fluency in modern software architecture and Azure cloud-native platforms
• Experience with data architecture including Azure SQL and Data Lake
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience
