Job Summary
Leading engineering teams in a remote environment, the full-time Director of Software Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the delivery, quality, and technical health of customer-facing SaaS product capabilities while developing engineering leadership and talent within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Own engineering delivery outcomes for customer-facing SaaS products, managing scope, quality, and time to market
- Provide technical leadership in architecture reviews and design discussions, guiding the modernization of large-scale distributed systems
- Lead and develop Engineering Managers and senior technical talent, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
- 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a formal leadership role
- Proven experience managing engineering managers and delivering customer-facing enterprise SaaS products
- Experience improving engineering outcomes in mature SaaS environments through modernization and quality improvement
- Strong software engineering background with practical depth in system design and cloud-native architecture
