Director of Software Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a dynamic team in a fully remote capacity, the Director of Software Engineering will oversee the development and maintenance of innovative frameworks using Microsoft technologies, while driving the migration to advanced solutions and ensuring robust, scalable, and secure technological outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in the technical design and implementation of software solutions across the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Assess existing platform components and define a phased roadmap for a modern digital platform, integrating AI and machine learning advancements
• Establish common delivery standards and improve workflows for CI/CD, unit testing, deployment, and operational support

Required qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of the software validation process in an FDA regulated environment, including 21 CFR Part 11 and HIPAA
• Extensive experience with the Microsoft .NET stack and relational database management systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server
• Solid understanding of Agile software development principles and structured programming skills
