Director of Software Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a cross-functional team, the full-time Director of Software Engineering will manage risk across critical security domains by developing automated security systems using AI/ML, while collaborating with various teams to shape Meta's security approach in both production and corporate environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the multi-year technical strategy for identity, authentication, and access management across Meta's infrastructure
• Build and scale a distributed organization of software engineers and security professionals across multiple global sites
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective security and operational strategies

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, focusing on security, identity, or infrastructure systems
• 7+ years of engineering management experience, including managing engineering managers
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering organizations
• Experience forming cross-functional partnerships to deliver large-scale engineering outcomes
• Strong analytical skills with a rigorous understanding of metrics and data
