Director of Special Projects

Job Summary

Leading cross-functional initiatives, the full-time Director of Special Projects in Finance will manage substantial projects that connect finance with operations, redesign planning processes, and improve decision-making through data analysis, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead initiatives from problem framing to implementation, ensuring stakeholder alignment and outcome accountability
• Diagnose business processes through data analysis and stakeholder interviews to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas
• Design future operating models and governance structures in collaboration with relevant teams to enhance organizational effectiveness

Required qualifications

• Six or more years in management consulting, corporate strategy, finance transformation, or business operations with cross-functional exposure
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects from diagnosis through implementation
• Strong quantitative skills and financial literacy, capable of building and analyzing financial models
• Experience designing and implementing operating models, processes, or organizational structures
• Executive communication skills, with the ability to present recommendations and facilitate decision-making workshops
