Director of Student Finance

Job Summary

Overseeing the entire student funding lifecycle, the fully remote Director of Student Finance will manage funding determination, compliance, and operational processes while ensuring an exceptional student experience in a salaried position.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee development and maintenance of Student Finance procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and state funding requirements
• Manage the timely and accurate processing of student funding, including Title IV, VA benefits, and other financial aid programs
• Lead departmental operations, including staffing, training, and performance monitoring, while collaborating with other departments to enhance the student experience

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, education, administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in student financial aid or higher education operations, with significant leadership responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of Title IV administration, VA and TA benefits, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Proficiency with student information systems and data/reporting tools for operational analysis
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams
