Disability Associate Medical Director

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced, board-certified physician, the part-time Disability Associate Medical Director will provide clinical leadership and oversight for Disability review programs, focusing on physician reviewer performance and quality assurance in a remote, independent contractor capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance and oversight for Disability review programs
• Evaluate physician reviewer performance and ensure quality assurance
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to drive continuous process improvement

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification
• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Prior Disability experience with a carrier, TPA, or independent review organization (IRO)
• Strong clinical judgment to assess quality and consistency of physician determinations
• Ability to work independently and manage time-sensitive clinical escalations
