Job Summary

Building strong relationships with financial advisors and internal partners, the full-time Disability Income Underwriter will support the insurance application process by evaluating applications, communicating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with company standards in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Builds relationships with financial advisors and customers to facilitate the insurance application process
• Reviews insurance applications and assesses eligibility and coverage options based on company guidelines
• Collaborates with internal and external teams to gather information and resolve issues for timely decision-making

Required qualifications

• A bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make independent decisions using sound judgment
• Proficient in computer skills and various software packages
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt in a changing work environment
• Comfortable making timely underwriting decisions in complex situations with incomplete information
