Disaster Recovery Specialist
Job Summary
Working fully remotely on a contract basis, the Disaster Recovery Specialist will partner with technology and infrastructure teams to enhance disaster recovery plans, validate recovery strategies, and support the execution of disaster recovery testing.
Key responsibilities
- Review and enhance disaster recovery plans in collaboration with various teams
- Validate recovery strategies, including RTOs and RPOs, and identify gaps in recovery readiness
- Design and execute disaster recovery testing, including simulations and failover exercises
Required qualifications
- 9-10+ years of experience in disaster recovery, IT resilience, or technology risk
- Hands-on experience in developing and validating disaster recovery plans
- Experience supporting or executing disaster recovery testing
- Strong understanding of recovery concepts such as RTO, RPO, and system dependencies
- Ability to work effectively with technology and infrastructure teams
