Job Summary
To support Dissertation Finalization, a part-time temporary Dissertation Editor will edit dissertations for ProQuest publication, ensuring adherence to APA style and coordinating with other editors and students in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Timely review and proofreading of completed dissertations for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting according to APA 7th Edition
- Utilize technology for editing and communication, including Microsoft Word and Zoom
- Coordinate with other editors and students to facilitate dissertation editing and publication
Required qualifications
- Earned master's degree from an accredited institution; doctorate preferred
- Prior experience as an editor, specifically in proofreading
- Expertise in APA 7 style and mechanics of writing
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, particularly with Track Changes and Comments
- Graduate-level reading comprehension and writing skills that are culturally responsive and inclusive
