Job Summary
Setting the multi-year AI technology strategy for a security platform, the full-time Distinguished AI Engineer will influence organization-wide strategy, drive innovation in LLM and agentic AI systems, and elevate engineering excellence through mentorship and thought leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Define the AI technology vision, architecture strategy, and multi-year roadmap across core product areas
- Shape company-wide investment and model strategy, determining build, buy, or partner decisions
- Mentor and develop senior engineering talent, fostering a culture of excellence in AI engineering
Required qualifications
- 16+ years of software or ML engineering experience, including 2+ years in leading production LLM or agentic AI systems
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, or related field preferred, or equivalent expertise through industry experience
- Authoritative expertise in LLMs, including transformer architecture and optimization at scale
- Experience with scaling AI workloads in production, ideally on AWS
- Recognized industry expert in AI, demonstrated through publications, patents, or leadership in standards bodies
