Job Summary
Utilizing their NCAA Division I hockey experience, the part-time remote Division I Hockey Mentor will guide student-athletes through academic and athletic development, providing one-on-one video sessions to help them balance schoolwork and training while fostering strong mentoring relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Mentor young hockey players on game preparation, training habits, and the college hockey experience
- Guide students through their academic day, ensuring they stay focused and make progress
- Support students in managing their academic responsibilities alongside practices and competitions
Required qualifications
- Division I Hockey Background: Experience competing in NCAA Division I ice hockey
- Experience Working With Kids: Background in coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or similar roles
- Judgment With Young Athletes: Ability to earn trust and provide constructive feedback
- Strong Communication: Proficient in leading video sessions and providing updates to parents and staff
- Reliability and Organization: Punctual and capable of tracking student needs effectively
