DME Collections Representative

Job Summary

To support revenue cycle operations, the full-time remote DME Collections Representative will manage patient billing and collection activities, ensuring timely reimbursement and resolving outstanding issues with insurance payers.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments, adjustments, claims, and denials accurately and in a timely manner
• Research payment discrepancies and make necessary appeals and corrections to maximize reimbursement
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and internal teams while maintaining strong working relationships

Required qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
• At least 1 year of experience in Patient Financial Services, specifically in collections and accounts receivable within healthcare
• Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and/or Waystar is preferred
• Strong proficiency in common office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision
