DO-178C Aviation Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Aviation Software Verification & Test Engineer to work remotely during Eastern Time hours, responsible for developing and executing test cases and procedures for safety-critical avionics applications, ensuring compliance with DO-178C standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and execute software and system test cases, scripts, and procedures
- Perform requirements-based verification of safety-critical avionics software and conduct various testing types
- Support verification activities throughout the avionics development lifecycle and ensure traceability of test artifacts
Required Qualifications
- Minimum eight years of professional experience in software development, verification, or testing
- At least five years of Java development experience and direct experience using SCADE
- Experience with DO-178C software development and avionics certification activities
- Proven ability to develop and execute requirements-based software test cases and procedures
- Strong troubleshooting skills and exceptional attention to detail in software quality assurance
