Document Accessibility Remediation Technician
Job Summary
To support an agency-wide project, the full-time Document Accessibility Remediation Technician will remotely modify PDF structures and accessibility elements while ensuring compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in on-the-job training for PDF accessibility document remediation procedures and software tools
- Review and perform remediation tasks on assigned PDF files, modifying accessibility elements as directed
- Use automated tools to check accessibility and maintain accurate records of document statuses and issues
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro or other PDF editing software
- General knowledge of computer software applications and file management
- Experience in document processing, data entry, or records management
- Ability to modify document structure and accessibility elements such as tags and reading order
- Familiarity with automated accessibility-checking tools
